This is hard because your cabinets look to be in good shape but they do not match the flooring. Painting is a LOT of work though, and going to pro route is expensive. But I'd paint them a white or maybe a charcoal gray.

Leave them be. Wood cabinets are trending back up. Change the floor instead. Slate. A modern 12x24 pattern.

mgarvey42190 what cabinet paint color did you end up using? We are having the Misterio countertops installed too and need to pick a white cabinet paint color. We received a color consult from the cabinet painting company - recommendation was BM White Dove.

We ended up using BM Decorators White at Maura DeVellis' recommendation and it's a great match. In our opinion, BM White Dove (which is the color of our trim) had too much yellow in it when held against the countertops. Here is a picture of the painted cabinets. Still need backsplash, hardware, etc....! :)

mgarvey42190 wow! your cabinet color looks great with your countertops. I've been looking at all these BM white paint colors including the Decorators White which I was afraid might be too stark looking. I'll have to revisit this. Thank you for sharing your picture.

Your kitchen looks beautiful! We're using the Pompeii Misterio in our kitchen as well.

I ended up getting a chip in my quartz countertop (Misterio) within a month of having it. It was right on the inside edge in front of the sink. I have no idea how it happened but I must have bumped a pan against the squared edge. Normal wear and tear like this is not covered under their warranty. I do not want to scare you from this quartz - I believe it can happen to any quartz esp with the more squared edge. Perhaps a more rounded edge might be safer. The countertop restoration contractor that filled my chip ($200 for a small chip restoration) said he sees this a lot with quartz (and with granite to be fair). He didn't feel the quartz companies should say they are chip resistant b/c clearly they are not. As for staining it is doing really well. One thing that I found that can stain is the date stamp on packaged meats. Don't set packaged meats with a date stamp directly on the counter! They must use a permanent ink for that.

I just had the Misterio installed a few weeks ago, but so far so good. No damage. Easily wipes clean. And so beautiful!
