It is just getting colder here, I have quit looking at the outside temps! It really is not too bad if you are working outside, I actually wore too many clothes, got sweaty shoveling bedding for the horses. With December and much of January so warm, I just kept thinking "Enjoy it now, winter is still to come". So I spent LOTS of time outside. The wet ground was a bit of a worry, my tulips and other bulbs may be rotten by Spring, too much water. It was just wet forever. No hard ground till mid-Jan. Never did get the rose collars on the bushes, nor any leaf piles around them. With the wet, I was afraid the roses would rot. I guess they make it or don't, this winter! A plant exchange sounds like fun. We have one locally in Owosso, early in the season too. Ours is an auction, with donations for the Garden Club. I got some very nice things there last year. I will put yours on my schedule, try to make it. Thanks for telling us. I will post the Owosso Auction when I see a date.
