I had a door something like that in a bathroom once...they can be an eyesore, frankly. In your situation, I wonder if you could extend the small white cabinet upwards somehow to cover the door? Maybe add a shelf unit on top of it? That would make the room look more finished. Then you could add white accessories in different textures -- thick, fluffy white towels with some kind of white rug, maybe a white wicker waste bin or white mother-of-pearl accessories, etc. You have a good start with some of the items on top of the cabinet.

Thank you all for your comments. The bathroom is a lot of whitish (large hex tile floor/large format tile shower alcove, and a white (long double sink) quartz vanity counter/also top of pony wall). The vanity is oak. All the fixtures/vanity lights are brass (aged). There is a window at the far end. I thought just off white walls might be too much white, although I guess I could change that with wall "add ons". We live in a country setting, the house is a shrine to mother nature : ), so that is where the green comes from.

Hi there, I purchased this bathroom vanity in silver gray. https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/three-posts-currahee-60-double-bathroom-vanity-set-w009037182.html?piid=2147339589 I am painting a small, north west facing bathroom with a whitish marble-look vinyl tiled floor. I am trying to find a paint color for the walls that will not look horrible with the vanity. I am kind of wishing I had bought the other offered vanity color that is a simpler gray. I went to Home Depot and had them do a color match from the vanity. I have the paint sample and all the codes on it, but I can't seem to figure out how to find an actual named paint color that would be similar to my custom color. If I did that, I could know what type of color it is and choose a light color for the walls that would match. I am trying to choose a light blue/green/gray color, but I have held up a couple next to the vanity and it doesn't look great.

We renovated recently and removed an old cast iron tub that had been reglazed badly several times - it was tough for our plumbing team to find someone to cut it up and get it down the narrow stairs.. we opted for an acrylic model for our replacement, I absolutely love old things too but definitely appreciate the new pipes that our team was able to run to the new bath as well as a nice level subfloor 😅
