Changing out American Standard Roman tub faucet

I recently purchased a house that was built in 2003. In the master bathroom, everything is in an oil rubbed bronze finish, with the exception of the Roman tub faucet, and the shower head and handle. The sink faucets are Pfister, and I would like to change out the Roman tub faucet. I think I can live with the shower head/handle for now. The tub does not have an access panel. There is also a Delta Roman tub faucet, that looks close enough to the Pfister that I could use. Has anyone had any experience changing out the trim on an American Standard Roman tub faucet to a different brand?
