I didn’t like OITNB either. Ozark took me until halfway through the second season to appreciate- but now I like it quite a bit. I hadn’t had the opportunity to appreciate Jason Bateman before (hadn’t seen many movies)- but I see why he’s a good antihero. Measured room. I need 8x 10 IF I count that little side chair that everybody keeps telling me to turn into a bench. I mean I suppose even if it was a bench it‘s need to have 2 feet on the rug right? I like the pattern of the first rug! I think it might be a little bit orange for me but I think that’s the general idea of what I need

I would get an upholstered chair with an ottoman, something like a club chair unless you want to go more traditional and get a wing chair. For sure, please don’t buy it on-line. Please buy something you have sat in and ideally something you have been able to look at its construction, turned upside down, etc. You might be able to score a second hand chair in excellent condition from someone going into an elder facility.

As for chairs I would do a navy color and no more beige but before that why not go and find a fabulous piece of art that is a bit wider , move the coffee table so tht it actually serves the sofas in fact you need a bigger one you need more layered lighting too . How much seating do you actually need in the space.? Once you have the new piece of art then choose a color from it for a couple of bolster pillows .These are a couple of ideas I think no more buttons and simple chairs with a bit of wood maybe and a coffee table in a shape that works with both sofas and then something between the cahirs too
