Sink Color with Silestone Calacatta Gold counter
Comments (8)Can you post a picture? That was what I was thinking of but I’m second guessing black now! Cabinets will be decorators white and island will be grey (dark). I’m having an induction hob, which is black so perhaps a black or dark grey sink would work....See MoreBacksplash suggestions for Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold
Comments (12)Have a look at this thread. They used Cloe Tile with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. It really looks gorgeous and I've bookmarked it myself for a future project. I agree that mixing the real marble with the Silestone may not work well. But I think you can put some sample boards together for your favourite choices and lean them up against the wall to help you visualize. You can also try different grout colours on your sample boards. The Cloe tile has significant variation and I think that is a plus. The problem of matching the white of your cabinets with the white in the Silestone and another white in your backsplash can be really tough. They are never all going to be the same and if you miss on one of the choices, then something is going to look dingy. But I think the colour variation in the Cloe tile will help with that, pull all the whites and some of the colour from the Silestone together. I'm sure it will be lovely. Please be sure to come back and post photos when you're done as well as work in progress photos....See MoreSilestone Calacatta Gold New vs Old.
Comments (6)Sorry, I don't have any recommendations, but I have also noticed a difference between what I see in the showroom and the more white appearance of photos of the Calacatta Gold. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I was on the brink of just going for it assuming it might look more white in a larger piece. Does make me wonder if it would be worth asking if they have any of the old slabs laying around. Good luck to you!...See MoreLooking for Advice! Quartz with Chantilly Lace Cabinets + New Doors?
Comments (52)@Beth we ended up sticking with the t pulls due to pricing (i found a bulk pack and it was much cheaper than any other options we looked it). Unfortunately, we had to sacrifice some things we would have wanted due to budget. I tried my best to update the house while still acknowledging that it is a 100 year old home, which is why I kept the wood floors and chose the door style that I did (we also had to keep the doors on top with exposed hinges due to the original style of the doors and the cabinets themselves, as we could not afford new ones). Originally, this house had wallpaper everywhere that had been painted multiple times and white vinyl plank, which was a nightmare to keep clean). We went right back down to the original floorboards and tried to find a balance between old and new/modern while still keeping to our budget. All things considering, I think it turned out alright for a couple of amateurs on a budget haha!...See MoreShannon Vairo
