Window treatments in great room

User

We’ve got a vaulted ceiling great room with windows on three walls - one being a large triangular window that’s about 10 ft tall. I’m looking to get rid of the horrible pink vertical blinds and put in simple white curtains, but am struggling with the height of the curtain. Should I go for a Basic 8 ft (which is where the curtains are in the photo) or raise them up to the 9 ft level? I’d like to raise them, but am afraid it will look odd to only see the triangle part of the window. There is also a standard height window on the opposite wall from the triangular window, which you can’t see in the photo. Also note, the photos were taken prior to us moving in (sorry it’s a bit blurry). We’ve since painted the walls a greige color and removed the existing curtains altogether. Thoughts??
