Red Oak Stairs with White Oak Floors

Hi! We are building a house and our builder must use red oak for the stairs. Unfortunately we cannot get around this as it is only a semi-custom home. Given that it is an open floor plan, we are trying to decide if we 1) use red oak for only the upstairs and stairs, and then white oak for the downstairs, 2) use red oak everywhere, or 3) use red oak only for the stairs and then white oak upstairs and downstairs. I prefer lighter floors and would prefer to not have to stain the stairs darker. I am having a hard time visualizing what the transition would look like if we use white for the main floor and red oak for the stairs. I have been looking online and it seems like others have had this problem with builders as well. Does anyone have pictures from their own experience to share? I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
