Any Experience with Climbing Red Eden?
Comments (2)Nanadoll, Red Eden is a very beautiful rose & it is a fast grower, but a big problem with it is it's tendency to ball after a rain. Once that happens the bloom just rots....See MoreIs White Eden really white or is it actually light pink?
Comments (18)Yeah, my Eden gets a bit of BS, but nothing it doesn't shake off fine here. I have him in really good sun now, because that also helped with the re-bloom. Mine looks so pretty right now! Last year he didn't even bloom because he got zapped so short by the polar vortex. I was afraid he might be Dr Huey. But no :) He's better than ever! I have Red Eden, too, and we're definitely humid here. Mine doesn't really ball, exactly, but his petals may need help opening. The thing is, the petals stay fresh and pretty, but he can just take forever to open. My Cinderella Fairytale and Cl Clotilde Soupert both have some real balling right now, where the petals turn icky in the ball shape, but my Red Eden just needed a little loosening with my fingers and he looks great :) I do believe he really balls in lots of places, no doubt. But for me, the freshness of the petals makes a huge difference here. I do love globular roses, though. He's about as globular as it gets, and that's part of his problem for some folks, I think! Without help opening, he can tend to look like a bunch of Christmas ornaments :D...See MorePretty in Pink Eden
Comments (25)@Tiffanddrew-So.CA/9b how is your pretty in pink Eden looking and doing??? I’m super curious to see what it looks like… Because I just recently purchased a Pretty Pink Eden… That looks very similar to yours with the bigger more open blooms instead of the really dense petal packed Cupped Blooms that I often see with pretty in pink Eden. I was hoping that the reaaon that the blooms looked like this was just because it was a brand new young plant . As you can see the blooms looked so different and has less petals and less of a cupped bloom form. Mine looks very similar to yours. Did the blooms on your pretty in pink Eden ever become more densely packed with petals and cupped... i’m hoping that as it matures it will look more like what the standard of a pretty in pink Eden should look like. Here are some pics of my PIP Eden....See MoreAnyone growing Pretty in Pink Eden? (Or Eden?) Rebloom, Dead Heading
Comments (23)@CeresMer Zone 7a NJ The bands of Bolero when I got them were small and had a little BS. Since I had never gotten bands before they looked especially small. However when I went on to planting them in the ground I found all three to be very well rooted. The three just hung in there all last year. I guess they were dropping roots. This year they just took off. I could not be more pleased. This is one of the bands: This is the three of them in the ground last fall: This is one of them with huge fragrant flowers this spring: The shrubs are much, much, bigger now but I dont have a current picture. I think I allowed them to grow by removing 95% of the forming buds. Still there are more than enough flowers. I cant guarantee each and every purchase will be perfect but every rose I got from them is doing well. If you buy through Amazon you can return/get refund if you get a bad guy. Shipping gets less on multiples. I dont have that much experience buying roses but I think this a good purveyor. You will love Bolero, especially after a year or two!...See MoreLilyfinch z9a Murrieta Ca
