I was surprised how much I was attracted to Lady of Shallot when I saw it because too bright colors usually don't appeal to me as much as those with softer hues. DJD seems to have the similar apricot color but the bloom form looks even more attractive to me - of course, it's all personal. (Not to mention that I also adore this actress.) I also hope that the scent is lovely though she did sneeze when sniffing it at the Chelsea promo :-)...See Moreyoung foliage on.. 'The Ancient Mariner'...

But breeding for one trait at a time is difficult enough, without trying for half a dozen, lol....See MoreThe Ancient Mariner - 2019 - Zone 8B

I am not sure if you are growing her, but I would highly recommend her. Her scent is mild but definitely there....See Morewhere to plant David Austin - Ancient Mariner Rose - sun or shade?
