Jasminegal, I think you have more blooming than I do right now :) ! My B. gigantea has buds outside but I don't know if they stalled or have fallen off. Your camellia should make it. Daves garden says it's hardy to 0 F. I had one in San Antonio that was unphased by snow or at least Texas' version of snow. Fingers crossed for you.

I think I should move Xena in the garage next to a bright window because it's getting cold and I don't want the leaves to frost the next few nights. I've had brugs bloom through frost but the leaves died! I have my least cold hardy plants in my office with a humidifier and some lights on for warmth and brightness.

It was 33 degrees this morning at 7 am. We're supposed to have two more nights in the 30s. The plants I left outside are all fine, including Brunfelsia gigantea ;)

Xena is blooming in the 67 degree greenhouse aka the garage in the dead of winter. The last two nights have been 33 and the garage only went down to 59! I love the blooms. There's 5 with 3 more mature buds and a few small buds that just appeared. A glorious first bloom! I really love this plant.

But how do you like Brugmansia 'Xena' scent, Tom?

My Buddleja asiatica is starting to bloom. I have to stick my nose to the blooms to catch the sweet violet scent but so far I really like it.

I like the scent. It is cold so I feel like the scent isn't as pronounced but it's nice. It smells like hyacinth and night blooming jasmine to me. Cherry is accurate too. I feel like it smells like air fresheners for the car or a scented cleaner they use in bathrooms at malls, restaurants, and movie theaters etc. It's definitely different from the citrus/powder scents of the yellow blooms. My sense of smell also isn't the best because it's allergy season ;)

And thanks Robert, your plant list is impressive too. Our lists seem pretty similar as well, we have or had quite a few of the same plants! The scent of the buddleia sounds great. Looks like you have a lot blooming indoors.

I just had to share Xena again. She's outside now that's its warm again. Coloring up nicely. I do love her fragrance when I get whiffs of it.
