Love Charlie's eyes!

This puzzle is made of wood. Just 161 pieces at 7 x 9 1/2. A fun do.

Wanna toast some marshmallows!

Missing my #1 Grandson! He's nice and warm over there :o)

Ok:)...please excuse my sharing this but I came across this painting last week at the National Gallery of Art in D.C. for a Vermeer and Dutch Artists exhibit and found this particular paintings cheekiness quite amusing. It's by Frans Van Mieris called 'Brothel Scene'...it's not just the two-legged visitors who are being entertained.

Happy New Year!!

murraysmom....what kind of salads are those?

To Fly Free in Space

Explanation: What would it be like to fly free in space? At about 100 meters from the cargo bay of the space shuttle Challenger, Bruce McCandless II was living the dream -- floating farther out than anyone had ever been before. Guided by a Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU), astronaut McCandless, pictured, was floating free in space. McCandless and fellow NASA astronaut Robe

ert Stewart were the first to experience such an "untethered space walk" during Space Shuttle mission 41-B in 1984. The MMU worked by shooting jets of nitrogen and was used to help deploy and retrieve satellites. With a mass over 140 kilograms, an MMU is heavy on Earth, but, like everything, is weightless when drifting in orbit. The MMU was replaced with the SAFER backpack propulsion unit.

Nicole I do believe that top salad is something similar to hopping John but no rice visible or black bean Fiesta salad. the beans look like black beans. What ever it is I wish I had some right now lol.

Raven...thanks! They DO look delicious!

Mouthwatering salads for sure murraysmom!

Nicole, the top one is a southwestern (black bean, corn, avocado) salad that was delicious. Made with fresh corn. The second is a buffalo chicpea salad. These were both made for a Salad Spinoff we had at our Farmers Market just before Thanksgiving. Eight vendors participated. It was great fun!

Hopping john : I've served it for years for Jan l, with corn bread, pork and turnip greens.
