Yes, it hangs in my home. Portraits of him, his sister, and his mother were all painted at the same time, and hung in his parents' home a long time ago. I'd lost track of them, and hadn't thought about his in years when my son found it in the barn! He hung it in my house without telling me that he'd found it. I came home that day and was doing something near the painting when it caught my eye. To say I was startled was an understatement! LOL

A couple of days ago I was in NY and enjoyed my annual stop at the Bergdorf's window displays. This year, they were based on different NY monuments.

The one below is celebrating The New York Botanic Garden. The flowers are made of fabric.

This red below is celebrating the NY Philharmonic.

The one below is based on the American Museum of Natural History. Dinosaurs encrusted in swarovski crystals.

Part of the harbor at Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, USVI, 3/2012.
A couple of weeks ago. After Maria took out lots and lots of water craft. Many in the Virgin Islands are still just on their sides ashore. Some of the smaller craft in the top photo (click to enlarge) lived on their boats. Many owners did not have comprehensive insurance and thus are completely out of luck.

Charlotte Amalie is disparate in socioeconomic classes. You have three million dollar homes on the shores and poor people everywhere else. Their children ferry to school on another island. It'd make me nuts to have to survive there. I wish the inhabitants well!

Love a sleeping kitty...but Mila doesn't seem to sleep as much as she dies...I mean completely dead to the world...inanimate...we tease that if she stays dead any longer, she'll start to stink! :)

I always enjoy the kitty pictures. Our two have lots of toys, so what are they playing with? A ribbon and a large twist tie.

Annie Deighnaugh I don't know if you know anything about ferrets but if you want to see dead sleep they are the ones that do it best. One of our ferrets had gone into dead sleep and this was the first time we had owned ferrets and the first time one did this. Scared the crap out of us!!! We were panicking and shaking him (not violently of course) and calling his name. We finally laid him on the bed to try and think of what to do and he just woke up like nothing happened. :\

This cat was sleeping on the steps at the entrance to a Japanese pagoda in Vietnam. He never so much as blinked while 100s of people stepped over him to get inside.
