Can a dark blue north facing living room be salvaged via decor?

Long story short, I naively painted a north facing room with dark blue, had no idea that north facing needed warm undertones, is this a rule of thumb in decor? I don’t mind the room around noon but early morning and evenings all the colors look too harsh. My question is would the room transform or at least be salvaged via neutral/white decor I.e white drapes with golden rods, white art, media center, neutral rug ...etc and artificial light or should I just hold off until I repaint sometime in the future. Please help me decide as I no longer trust my color instincts and I’m too bumped to judge rationally, part of me really wants to buy decor in hopes that it ll look like those dark rooms I see in Pinterest and feel like all the hard labor I put into painting pay off but part of me is afraid that i ll only pay more $$ and not fix things. Like how do these super dark bold rooms work on Pinterest are they all south facing or do they have tones of artificial light?
