Thanks for the suggestions, but when I went back to BB&B, I found most came in oblong which I don't think is oval, because the photo looks rectangle and none of the shapes to choose from are rectangle. I looked at several and I still couldn't find anything in oval.

The Bobby Flay one is oval. If you click on the first picture, then move the mouse to hover over the picture, you will see the white square with the size on it it says 60 x 84 oval. They never change the paper picture in the package for each size and color.

I've had an oval dining table for decades, and at first I had an oval cloth. I found that I liked the rectangular ones better. Can you ask her if she would be just as happy with a rectangle?

I'd really like to find a 60 x 84 oval one and need to find it pretty quickly.

Have you tried HomeGoods? I got 4 table clothes about a month ago...they had SO many to choose from...I'm sure there were some oval ones too. Amazon search pulled up some too.

I looked up HomeGoods and couldn't find any tablecloths and I don't have a HomeGoods near me to go to.

How about buy the fabric and have a local seamstress sew one?

Home Goods, Marshals, and TJ Maxx are outlet stores. You cannot order from a web page, you just have to dig at the store and get lucky. Tuesday Morning is the same way. I will go every now and then, but I hate to dig.

if you don't sew enough to make one, then perhaps go to a vintage store...our grandmas old LARGE tablecloths can be modified...the quality is actually better ....do you have the skill to modify one? I have about three of mom's and grandma's and I've turned them up/changed corners/added trim etc. they are great as an under cloth and then I use a smaller runner or different smaller shape atop the old solid brocade vintage cloth....so much fun.

It is the fifth post down. You didn't like it, because the paper picture was a rectangle. You can't go by the pictures on the package. The companies only use the same one for all sizes and colors.

Here is the link again, but if I were you, I would just go to Bed Bath and Beyond and buy an off white in the correct size.

Ok, when I talked to my mother awhile back she thought the tablecloth on her table now is 60 x 84 oval, but I found out her table may be oblong(rectangle with round edges). Since I don't want her to know that I'm definitely getting her a tablecloth, would the oblong work on either shape table or the oval?

Also, what size exactly should I get? She thinks the one she has is 60x84, but could I go a size bigger to make sure it fits? She said she wouldn't mind it a bit longer, just not too long.

Now I'm thinking oblong in lighter burgundy or cream. Not sure what size as I said I think she has a 60 x 84 oval right now. I'd like to spend less than $25 since it's not the only thing I'm giving her.

That's the color burgundy I'm looking for, but this one is round only, otherwise a cream.

This is at BedBathBeyond. It is a beautiful tablecloth and is a very pretty burgundy. It washes like a dream. I have it in round as a tableskirt for a hide-a-table. Do you have a BBB near you and are you going to your Mom's for Christmas? If so, you could get a couple of sizes to be sure and return the wrong size after Christmas. It only comes in a rectangle (no oval).

Sherry, its very pretty, but it' s more of a brick red rather than burgundy. The one I showed above is slightly more purplish than what it looks like. I don't know if it would work with her wallpaper that has a darker purple burgundy with the grapes. Isn't that one more maroon than bugundy? She definitely said no maroon.

It is not true to color on the website. It is a true burgundy in my house. You just need to look at it in person. It is not brick red.
