I LOVE this tile! Does anyone know what it's called and where I can find it?

Honestly, it looks like tile that could come from a variety of manufactures. I would get with your designer and show them this and I bet they would be able to find a local source for you. They will also be able to make sure it goes with the design of the rest of your home (wood floors, paint, furniture, etc).

I love the larger scale of the tile. Looks great.

Thanks, Kevin! I love the tile too. It looks like some one posted that it is called Brazilian Slate/Montauk Blue, but when I Google that name, many different versions show up. I like the light color of the tile and that it isn't just one color - I like the gradient within each tile.

Thank you! Good to know. I wanted to get samples of a few tiles along the same vein so I can see them in person. But I don't see many of this kind at the stores and my contractor's showroom has ZERO. I basically have a mental/visual Rolodex for design-related stuff. Last time I was in NYC, I ran across the store and looked around, and after I came home I looked at the website. It looks Moroccan, it doesn't look like most manufacturers I look at--so I had it narrowed down to Mosaic House or possibly Artistic Tile. So I looked on the website. For a sense of completion, the light fixture is Artemide, Logico, Triple Nested Ceiling version :P

It looks like a 1x3 rectangular mosaic in either stone or a variegated ceramic, with the tiles aligned. I googled 1x3 mosaic and found lots of pics. I found a crema marfil mosaic at Builder Depot (http://www.thebuilderdepot.com/crema1x3pol.html), and I imagine it would be pretty easy to find carrara as well. I suggest you do a similar image search. You'll find a lot more mosaics in a running bond pattern, so you'll have to weed through those to find ones with the tiles aligned--it's a more contemporary look and probably what appealed to you in the pic.

Try phoning the designer who posted the photo you shared (I can't abide it when designers et al share photos on Houzz and then ignore requests for info - don't do it if you're too lazy to follow up, folks!).
