Comments (5)The lippage system works well IF the floor deviates from "Flat," which is no deviation over 1/8" in 10 feet. OR if the tile is excessively "bowed." Plan to use a "Medium bed Morter," in any event to prevent the tiles from settling after installation. I like, but seldom use the "lippage" systems if the tiles and the floor are flat. I can work with the small variations........See MoreWhich direction should I run wood plank porcelain tiles?
Comments (0)I’m installing wood plank porcelain tiles 6x24. Which direction should I run the tiles? Should I run it vertical or horizontal as soon as I walk in from the main entry way? Right now I’m thinking of running it Vertical longways from front to back. I shot a video of the house, the floor is bare right now. https://youtu.be/oRStitu8zJ8 There’s a house, exactly the same model nearby that i saw online and they had their wood look tiles running horizontally. I’ll attach pictures. Main entry away Main living room formal dining area or living room 2 Guest bathroom Laundry area kitchen master bath...See MoreWhat direction should wood planks run?

Comments (6)Over plywood subfloor means you will have a joist system. If you lay wood you will need to install perpendicular to the joists. If you lay vinyl you can lay in any direction you want. Ideally you would run the long length of the planks in the same direction as the long length of the space. If that doesn't work out then you would run the long length of the plank in the same direction as the long length of the MAIN living space and ignore everything else. Continue in all the same direction. Do not change directions in other rooms....See MoreIntelligent Design
