Help! IKEA bodbyn white kitchen with quartz countertops

We are renovating out kitchen and just purchased the IKEA bodbyn cabinets in white (but they are more of a creamy off white). i love the look of the cesarstone calcutta Nuvo countertop but it's more of a true white with flecks of grey is that going to look awful together? as we still have to select the backsplash I am hoping that will tie the look together and it won't clash too much... any advice??

I did Petra grey quartz and plan to do a marble subway tile backsplash. It has small off white veining in it

I would keep looking for a counter that is not so pure white check out Cambria they have some that might work.

You need to stay in the same tones. The cabinets are a warm white, so the counters needs to follow; otherwise when you're selecting your backsplash you will have issues with the color.

rmancuso - I just finally got samples of a bunch of quartz and brought it home with the ikea door to see in my apartment. Glad I did - I took the london grey, along with some of the recommendations above and some other randoms. I ended up liking the london grey the best! It doesn't look the same in an ikea showroom as in your home. Also I find the quartz was more grey/beige tone then bright white as it appeared at ikea. On a side note - I like the picture of Jillian Harris's kitchen on the ikea website - there is no where that lists what her counters are. I emailed ikea and they let me know all of the details and they were london grey. http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_CA/SEKTION-kitchen/sektion_inspiration.html?page=2 My biggest recommendation to you is to buy a door at ikes (you can return it) and take out samples of quartz home in your kitchen. Helped a ton!

It has been such a journey, but so glad we did it. @practigal I sure did! we had around 30 cabinets total or so. @Karenseb I actually am not sure what was used for lighting or power exactly. The electrician provided them, but they look pretty standard. Here is a picture. Sorry for the poor quality. I am pretty excited. I just ordered a bunch of reclaimed black walnut to wrap the brick wall in and to add some floating shelves to the right of the exterior kitchen door. It looks like this:

we don't know what you room looks like. asking us to help pick a color isn't going to work. Your lighting can make paint colors appear differently then they do on a computer monitor. Plus the fact that we have no idea what a "grayish-oak flooring' looks like. And, do you expect us to google each one of those paint names to see what the color looks like?? Help us out here and post a pic of the actual colors, your flooring and your room. Otherwise, just get a few favorites that you like and sample them on your wall

@kel_kat5 How wide is the counter space in each of those three options with the various pantry sizes? How big is your family? I'm considering a 15" pantry which seems quite small in comparison to most I've seen, but I live alone and currently have no pantry at all, so I think any tall cabinet would seem luxe!

thank you for your help, i am just struggling with finding a quartz i like that has the same warm tones. I am leaning towards ceasarstone counters and prefer the realistic marble look. And with the warm white cabinets would you suggest more of a grey toned backsplash as i feel that anything white (like subway tiles) would clash.

We've done a kitchen with Grimslov doors (same colour as Bodbyn) with Frosty Carrina Caesarstone counters. This is a warmer tone countertop that has light grey veining to imitate marble. I like the idea of a grey backsplash as well - you could select a tone in the countertop and go from there.

Thank you for mentioning this as frosty carrina was my second choice! Glad to hear someone has used it before :) and I think the grey will add some interest to the space.

We are installing IKEA Grimslov doors and plan to use Frosty Carrina quartz countertops, as well.

We are also installing bobdyn cabinets. I had my heart set on Calacutta Nuvo but fear that it may be too white for the cabinets. I would love to see a picture of Frosty Carrina with the bobdyn cabinets!

We installed bodbyn cabinets last year. We hesitated between Statuario Nuvo and Calacutto Nuvo for the kitchen island.. We finally decided for Statuario Nuvo. We're very happy with the result ! but I would like to see a picture of Frosty Carina because I think it's a very nice choice too.

I am also interested in ideas and suggestions for countertops. Any pictures of granite options? I am looking at Caledonia or another option that my friend has.
