Help me pick floor color please :)
Comments (19)What are the brands of those tiles? Shaw Midori, by chance? I ask because I have some bathroom tile that looks similar to the first one, and I could photograph it for you if it was. what color do you want to bring out of the bianco antico? (grey tones or brown tones?) I really do not like the second tile from that photo. It looks like it competes for attention too much (like the last poster mentioned.) The third also looks, to me, like the color wouldn't match..... but I'm not sure what overall colors you have. I just remember the bianco antico I looked at would match brown tones better. Last comment.... my floors are dark wood with white cabinets and black countertops. The floors did not darken the space or make it too dark. Since the cabinets are white, it still is a very bright space. The floors just contrasted that and maybe made them seem even brighter......See Morehelp me pick laminate flooring
Comments (40)jb- thanks for the vote of confidence. I am swimming without waterwings, tightroping without a net, flying without a parachute.......basically, "winging it" with lots of reading here, of course! And I'll post pics along the way! That makes it more fun, anyway. Brittu- yep, all the light ones got eliminated. I did not expect that. teedup- I'm hoping that in the end, I'll be looking at a total bill of about 20K, so the idea of even 50K sounds scary to me! I'm really happy with that number given that we went to bare studs and built everything back in again, but that also is with me doing serious bargain hunting, lots of DIY, and getting what I think would be $40-50K custom cabinets for about 5-6K.....an unusual family benefit! :) hedygs- the volga blue has more slate/green in it than you'd at first think...that is why the walls ended up a bit green. I guess I should have waited to paint till I decided on a floor, but were doing everything a bit backwards since the cabinets are delayed. I had to do something.....so I painted, and matched the paint to the cabs and the granite, and hoped for the best. Impatience may not pay off this time. janwad- nice and clean looking! very appealing. How do you like your ladylux? I do think that V. Slate is my favorite right now, but it is also the most expensive. That is fine, if it is perfect, but I'm going to wait to make sure that there are not problems with my granite before I commit to a floor....I can just see my slabs getting broken, and having to chose something new. Not pessimistic, just realistic....See MorePlease help me pick grout color for gray tile floor

Comments (68)Sorry that I'm just seeing your post. Wow,those are gorgeous! Congratulations on your dream floor. We hit a huge bump in the road . Our Shaw Vicksburg was in the house ready to be installed. As the old floor (laminate)was being taken up we found moisture along the floor plates in our concrete slab. Obviously we couldn't install hardwood. Fortunately we bought from a local retailer and they could accept returns. Of course we pay a restocking fee and another freight charge on new floors. Now,we are installing lvp. Not what I had dreamed of but at least no worries. It is pretty realistic looking....See MoreNapanee Design Ltd.
