Help finding dining chair

last modified: 7 years ago

I've spent several days searching online for the perfect dining chairs to no avail, and could use some help! I'm looking for a farmhouse style chair to go with a barn board dining table, darker wood. My current chairs do not have a padded seat and are not comfortable, so padded seat is essential. I'm not crazy about adding a tie-on cushion, as it looks too cottagey for a dining room.

I'm looking to spend max $200 per chair. My space is small, so I don't want to go with a fully padded chair, as they'll look too big for the space - I'd like a see-through back. I hate the chippendale stuff in all the antique stores and want something slightly more modern.

I adore the Napolon chair by Pottery Barn- it's priced right at $159, but the darker shade wood only comes with a woven seat, not a padded one.

I also love this Howell chair from Birchlane, but it's out of budget at $384.

Does anyone else have suggestions? I've seen a few shoddy looking pieces on Amazon, but otherwise nothing.
