Shelving Dilemma in Cabinetry

I had a carpenter install some Thomasville cabinetry in our laundry room. Very pleased with the appearance; however, it was discovered after installing the doors that the only way to insert the interior shelves with the plastic tabs that are provided is to remove the doors. A phone call to Home Depot confirmed that yes, this is the case. The sizes of products, containers and items which are stored in these cabinets vary a great deal in height which requires the ability to change the shelving when needed. This is ridiculous to expect individuals to remove the doors every time shelving rearrangement is required. Very disappointed with Thomasville and Home Depot to not provide a better products.
