Living Room Configuration

Right now the only thing that needs to stay is the black mini-grand piano. I am thinking the guitar and music stand should probably stay too since the kids use it to practice. Everything else can stay or go. I am wondering if I should move the grand piano over towards the french doors a bit more and maybe have a couch or something on the wall with the buffet. maybe a basket for the piano books, etc... there is storage in the bench but I think I might need a little more. Not sure if a rug or table is needed. Maybe put the piano more in the corner where the plant is and get two larger chairs (one where the guitar is and another where the foldout chair and music stand are. I also think my husband would like where the keyboard is currently to be clear but don't let that hold you back on ideas. Anyway, any and all thoughts are appreciated ; )

Whether you are listening from the computer or the kitchen, you would not be paying much attention to what the tv is doing; either computing or preparing food. So, I would use the satilite speakers best in your living room configuration, and set them up for best surround sound (what speaker wire length would this be?). Twenty five feet would be okay, sneak this wire under the base board/under floor.

We had the same problem and decided against a rug under the pool table - looked "off" and we were worried about people tripping on the edges of the rug as they moved around the table. We also have two chairs to the side and did put a rectangular rug under them. We're really happy with the final result. One thing that definitely helped us - foam squares that link together. I think we got them at Target. Using those we were able to outline different rug sizes in every room before actually making a purchase. Very helpful in our decision making.

I did give that a bit of thought, lovemrmewey when I decided to give up the first floor bedroom to add more living space in the kitchen area for today. If need be, I can reconfigure another area of the first floor for a small bedroom if one is required in the future. For now...I am holding a vision that I will be healthy and able to manage stairs to an upstairs bedroom. Both floors will now have bathing/showering options. In the past, that was only on the first floor.

Have you tried putting the couch in front of the windows? Put your chair where the couch is but slanted a little toward the couch. The end table and lamp could be beside the chair but on the left side of the chair. Then you might have room for a coffee table in front of the couch. It looks like the rug should be the other way but only you can tell that. Pretty room.
