AV's are the most darned interesting things

And here we have an example of the fun? excitement? surprises? in propagating African violets. Take a leaf, for example. One "Mag's Lovely Lady." Purchased in a baggie at the Michigan State African Violet Society Sale this past spring. Description on the baggie said: "Single to semi-double light lavender ruffled pansy with darker fantasy and rays, dark pink and purple fantasy tips on top petals. Med. green plain quilted serrated foliage. Standard." Planted leaf in April; yielded several babies. Kept two; gave away the rest to a friend. Both plants recently began blooming at the very same time. By all appearances, they took that very complicated description and split it between them - neither is right on although together they might be, LOL. Frankly, I quite like them both. Can't wait to see what my friend ended up with.
