need help with dinning room area

Hello, I just moved in to a new place and I am decorating it. Currently debating whether a round or long table would work better for the space. I am thinking a round table will be too small (38") or too big (60) I'm going back and forth because I feel like the round table would brake things up.I have too man L shapes like my couch and L shape kitchen. I am also thinking a long table would be too much for the space? I need help please. I want to make it look not crowded. The are measures 127" long by 84" wide. Its the area in from of the mirrored doors. Any ideas please

taking the windows into consideration i came up with this. it could work. i have to discuss with hubby and ask if he wants a family room or just a living room. i think we were considering making the "family room into a "formal dinning" so it could work. is this what you had in mind? is 3.4' by 6.8' a wide enough pantry?

You need the plastic glass spacers to keep the glass safely on the base. Place a large enough plant or blown glass centerpiece on the table to divert your attention. As for your rug, any of the grey, orange, blue or white rugs could be successful options to work with your existing rug. All shown are from Overstock. Of course a solid rug is also a given. Good Luck

Have you shopped any consignment stores? DR's don't seem to be as popular as they once were, and DR furniture seems to be in abundance, especially if its even remotely on the formal side. 'Pottery Barn style', or what is known as transitional, is more pupular these days. Many antique stores are surprising not not only carrying fine antiques, but 'newer' vintage furniture. I purchased a beautiful French style, parquet top table for $135 and it has 2 pull out leaves. Shop around and don't feel you need to be locked into purchasing new.
