Are Viking Pro Ranges really that bad??
Comments (53)Wow Viking is the worst. I bought all of my Viking appliances right before Covid hit and had to keep them in storage for about a year. Since install my oven doesn’t work and I had to replace all of my gas burners because my daughter had tomato soup boil over. All 4 burners were toast because one boil over!! That was over a thousand dollars in repair. But wait it gets better now my dishwasher won’t work. One day while unloading it I tipped over a bowl with water in it and the lights in the dishwasher automatically went off and I haven’t been able to use it since. I tried to switch the breaker off to make sure it wasn’t a reset issue. These appliances were the worst decision in my life and have caused me nothing but agony since....See MoreWANTED: My Bad...My Bad...But it's here, it's really here!
Comments (31)riverrat1 - this is one of the few places where people could understand someone having a jam collection! That is one delicious sounding package. I'm pretty sure no one else here would appreciate the tangerine marmalade as much as I would. Or the blackberry jam. So if you would be so kind, just put them back in the box, stuff a little newspaper in there (you know, to keep them from breaking - wouldn't want them bouncing around like bb's in a boxcar, now would we?) and ship them on over here. Oh, and I tasted pickled watermelon rind for the first time this past June asn LOVED it. You can put that one in there too, just to balance out the box. Thanks....See MoreAre organic pesticides bad for lady bugs and other beneficial bugs?
Comments (10)Insecticidal soap generally targets the types of insects many beneficials - like ladybugs - prefer to feed on so while not actually harming the beneficials, using it certainly won't encourage them :-) And Bt is a highly targeted bacterial organism so using it generally is of minimal concern to any beneficials. Both need to be applied when a problem is present - neither is really preventative. The soap is a contact pesticide and the Bt is ingested but can be washed off foliage with rains so should be applied when the cats are present and actively feeding....See MoreConcrete Gone Bad….. really Bad.
Comments (8)The pictures are taken when dry. Re the pour: No rain, dry for weeks (Southern California). The only water on the pour was done by contractor the day before the pour. The job (front & backyard) was done using 2 cement trucks. Both front and back were being done concurrently. After couple hours of pouring and finishing there was a mad scramble and I was told they were running out of concrete. Finishing proceeded in both front and back for another hour or so. There was only an area of maybe 30 square ft left undone. Within a day or two the undone area was poured and finished This area turned out fine, while everything from the initial pour became the blotchy mess that the contractor said would dry out and look fine. Like a dope, I believed the contractor....See Morecgrim10
