Hi Kelly, Cafe curtains would work also a roman shade would look nice as well. As far as fabrics go you would be probably find a lot more selections going custom, because of the size of the window it wouldn't cost that much and give you a much more designed finish look. It looks like you took a lot of time putting your beautiful kitchen together so that would be the icing on the cake. I think you're overthinking what print/pattern will go with a stone/stone-look countertop : ) . It's basically a neutral. Just figure out whether you have more cool or warm tones in your kitchen -- on my screen it looks cooler rather than warmer.

A roman shade or faux roman, depending on whether you needs something on the window for privacy and/or light control.

I'm in Tampa, FL... I also thought about roman shades but I'm having a hard time with the fabric. Maybe I shouldn't do a pattern or flowers, just a plain color. Thank you so much! I wish you were closer.

They're inexpensive enough that you can pick a pattern AND a neutral or solid, and change them out as you wish : ) .

I put short white sheers on my above the sink window. Then tied them back with seasonal things...ivy for summer, tinsel for Christmas with poinsettias, gold beads for New Year and etc. I do not need privacy at my window, but the brackets for a pull down shade are still there if needed.

Kelly me too!! I think you can do a pattern maybe just smaller scale. I look at some and send your way. You could keep it neutral or do a fun pop either way whatever would make you happy to look at each day.

No to the cafe curtains. I'll probably get in trouble but for me cafe curtains are old-fashioned. Your kitchen is anything but and I think they will detract from the overall look and feel.

What kind of window treatments and colours do you have in the living room/dining room/eating area. Instead of treating the kitchen in isolation, take the lead from the other rooms, particularly with respect to colour, and perhaps tie the rooms together.

Do you need privacy or solar protection? I was first thinking a sheer fabric but depends on the position of the sun now knowing your location. Neutral could be cream, gray, white or beige. Possibly a little texture for visual interest. Simple and sophisticated yet casual. Custom made is best but high end options available as well. Get samples to match the walls and cabinets. The Shade Store is another solution which is located in the Tampa area. Hope this helps.

Cafe curtains are coming back but more for farmhouse-style kitchens. Faux Roman shades or a tie-up valance would look nice! We would bring in some color/print with the window treatments. If you have a runner rug or towels in a certain color, you could do the window treatment in a similar shade. Your kitchen is neutral so you could bring in almost any color. Thank you all!! I’m so happy I asked. So no cafe curtains. My dining room and living room will have long very light grayish long. 108” as my ceiling are 10feet. Then I have 2 sets of French doors I still need to figure out coverings. I don’t really need privacy so I was thinking of going without covering on the French doors.

I think a Roman shade would look great. Maybe a solid gray with Greek key trim or a geometric pattern.

I wouldn't go with a plain fabric but something such as what Jodie White posted on the right - something with some texture or as kelleg69 suggested, a geometric pattern that is a tone on tone.

You also really need to think long and hard about how you feel about colour. If you do like colour you could try a yellow/grey pattern or an aqua/grey or cherry red/grey (ok that might be a little out there). Do you have some ideas as to what colours you will have as an accent in towels, mats, etc.

If privacy isn't an issue for the French doors, I would go without any coverings. We have French doors in our living room that look out to a very private backyard. I prefer them looking at and through them with no covering.
