Looks like you have it thought out. I would suggest picking your roof color before you pick your paint color. Paint color is much easier to change over the years. Personally, I would pick a very neutral shade such as grey or black (like you suggested). This way you have many other color options for the color of your home as time goes on. You can find a beige/grey to soften the red in your brick. Versus a cooler grey (Wow that looks really blue next to the top one- but when by themselves, they both look more grey) It will be nice to see how your roof impacts the look of your home over the course of the year and throughout the different seasons. I am not sure where you are located but a north facing home, in the northern US, a grey will take on more of those blue tones. Yes, I would make those attic vents blend in. I am not sure that I helped any. Good Luck!

Okay y'all! A follow up post. We finished painting the kitchen a few weeks ago....I put it off a while by saving it for last. We ended up painting it Dunn Edwards Golden Retriever. We are really happy with it!

You’ll have to see what works with your preferences and your house. We went through a lot of white and gray samples and ended up with Sw passive for the house (which I looove) and Zurich in the kitchen only (because I wanted more warmth on the kitchen walls.) Well, ended up loving Zurich so much that now I’m repainting all my house in Zurich.. in our space it looks really velvet-y and not too bright nor to dull.. one bedroom will be Sw white flour (lighter white) is all and another is already sw light French gray. decoenthusiaste: Thanks for solid advice. The seller replaced the windows in the last couple of years - they are a beige vinyl. Good for energy efficiency, but don't love the color. But if we're sticking with the current brick colors (which are not my first, second or third choice on color either), then they blend. The picture with the hedge is somewhat dated from the realtor listing: the snowpaclypse of 2021 killed virtually all the hedges, and the foundation work took care of the rest. I have a landscaping plan: just need to finish the under-foundation plumbing repairs before we can start. The trees prevent grass from being a great option - so we'll probably do a large bed with hostas, ferns and other shrubs. 100% agree about the tacky edging bricks. My son works in construction, so he'll be most of the improvements (and yard work). The front door is currently forest green - would you paint the door the same color as the trim? Also- are you saying that the windows are not type to work with shutters because they butt up to the eave of the house?
