Of course I don't have pictures ;-) but our previous house came with almond-beige bathroom fixtures and a slate blue wall color (Lowes' Eddie Bauer Shale) ended up working very well with the half-bath's fixtures that we didn't get around to switching out to white before we sold the house. (We had just enough of the Shale paint left over from doing the other bathroom to do the half-bath, so of course we used it up and it looked better than we expected it to! LOL) Cabinet and trim were painted off-the-shelf plain white, which we used for the trim in the whole house to make it easy on the next owners in case they had to do touch-ups. :-) It looked quite nice. There's also the option of a monochromatic color scheme, using varying shades of that same almond color ranging from pale cream to dark brown. That can look very pretty especially if you're into the whole "peaceful and soothing" thing for a bathroom; especially where your adjoining MBR is pale gold it would be particularly compatible and you could bring in a bit of that in accessories.

I think you could go with just about any hue. Go to a paint store, find a large almond swatch that matches your fixtures, then see how many different paint colors you can go with. I have almond walls (BM Collector’s Item). They go with white wood trim, adjacent greige walls, gray furniture, blue decor, espresso floor, etc. Try to find something you can get excited about. Dark colors could be interesting - I saw a pic with dark taupe walls which I would never consider but the pic looked pretty good with the almond fixtures. Open your mind and grab a bunch of swatches to live with for awhile. You could try to use colors like white and espresso to break up the almond and “whatever” colors. It may take some work to figure out how to insert separators. Another idea is to think of the almond as yellow. I keep thinking of yellow and navy bathrooms, but they mixed in a lot of white. Look at Sarah Richardson’s work - she did a yellow bathroom and a yellow laundry room that were super cute. Find pics of yellow bathrooms that you like. (Sorry to ramble.) EDIT: Google “yellow bathroom”. Look at the shower curtains and the images for palettes. It looks like most are going with gray and white. You would have to find the right tones of gray to go with the almond. A mix of light and dark grays with a lot of white seem to be the most striking. Alternatively you could bring in contrasting blue accents (more intense than what you have), or go with warm earth tones all around.

I really love the look of wood and I would keep as much of the wood as possible. Your house has lots of wood, and as best I can tell from the pictures, the woods mostly agree with each other. Your fireplace wall is mostly overall a light warm pink. Your other woods look like they have a warm tone as well. Even your dark doors have a warm brown with orange highlights. Have you thought about going warmer with the color for your walls? The wall and ceiling colors need to accent the wood beams, wood flooring, wood railings as well as the wood doors. As much as I like the modern gray/white look, I don't think grays do as much for wood as other colors. Why be tied to white trim? If you find a warm color you like, there are other colors that the paint company suggests for trim and ceiling that accent the wall color, which in turn would accent your wood. In one of our homes we did the unthinkable by experts. We stained our poplar wood trim and wood doors with a dark antique stain. It turned out very well. The wood looked antique and we received lots of compliments. Disclaimer: I'm not expert, I just know what I like.

Well this is a pickle. Can you post an image of the tub so I can see the exact tone? No matter what you do, this room is too small to have a mismatching toilet and tub without it looking like it needs to be "fixed." So some suggestions. Start with the undertones. Your almond is likely a pinky-warm undertone and the current floor and vanity probably grab that warmth. That's good. The floor you chose is the exact opposite of that. Not good. So if you want to change the floor and keep the tub the color it is, you will need to pick something with more warmth. I don't think the floor you chose is an improvement on what you have if you are planning to keep the almond tub. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you want to update, pick a nice warm toned paint with an undertone that matches the almond, improve your lighting change out your shower curtain and mirrors. A fun option would be to make the accent wall behind your vanity some kind of wallpaper that incorporates your almond and white. That is one way to tie them together and I actually like that idea. If you must have that floor, you should think about refinishing your bathtub in white. Miracle Method and other such companies do that for a few hundred dollars. I don't know what your tile or inset is around the tub or what color, but that could also be Miracle Method-ed most likely. I actually like your vanity. I would get rid of the cabinet above the toilet and use that as your accent wall if you are doing wallpaper. But again, I don't think you will improve this bathroom by putting in that ashy green gray flooring if you aren't willing to match the toilet and tub together. And if you keep the vanity, you will need to paint it to tie in, change the pulls etc. Certainly it can be done. What look are you going for? What do you like? Why do you want to change this room?
