K&M roses are here :)
Comments (4)Judy (prettypetals)---K&M Nursery grafts all their roses on to fortuniana root stock. Jim & Daisy Mills own the nursery. They are FANTASTIC people to do business with. If I can grow them up here with no winter rootstock failure, I know you can to. I've had 10 bushs on fort. rootstock in the ground for the past 4 winters. The trick is to make sure your variety is winter hardy for this area. I try to get varieties that were created in zone 7 or colder. Most roses that make it over here from Europe do great in our climate....See MoreK&M Roses?

Comments (6)Yeah, most of the Austins on fortuiana get pretty large but bloom acording to the size of the bush. I had several Austins on fortuniana when I lived in FL. The one I was REALLY impressed with was Abraham Darby. A huge 10' bushy, healthy shrub totally covered in blooms all year long. After I moved to GA., I tried it on Dr Huey. Not even close to what I was use to. I'll be getting 4 Austins from Jim this coming spring. L.D. Braithwaite, Abraham Darby and 2 The Prince. I also grew The Prince in FL. 5'x3'. Really nice bush for me. Bloomed up a storm from Oct. till early May. It slowed a little during the heat of the summer but I really liked it....See MoreWhat is your favorite mail-order source for roses? Preferably own-root

I got my W.S. 2000 from High Country Roses back in 2011. I should had ordered from High Country Roses back in Nov. 2023, it's only $23.95 per own-root Austin. High Country Roses in CO now ships roses to Canada....See Morekublakan
