Recent experience with Viking rangetop/range?
Comments (1)No one wants to bash Viking, even those of us who have been though endless rounds of service calls and replacements. Your desires are what they are. So it's up to you to judge whether you will be lucky enough to beat the average experience. I started with a Viking kitchen and it all will eventually be replaced, possibly save the vent hood. Last week I called the local rep and left a message -- I had a minor question about my fridge. No response. In the past few years they have been more responsive than earlier. Unfortunately with these purchases many things which seem important before are not afterwards when a whole different set priorities sets in. Shouldn't be that way but it has been IME. Every brand has complaints and yet some have fewer than others....See MoreHas anyone tried the Viking cookware?.....
Comments (20)I'm a little late to this thread. I have quite a few pieces of Viking cookware. It was originally made by Demeyere in Belguim. They are a dream to cook with. I have tried to hunt down some additional pieces, but they are difficult to come by, so I purchased additional Demeyere. Viking sold the rights to the cookware to a company who is now having it made In Indonisia. I purchased a small pan on eBay, then realized it was not the original Demeyere- made Viking. Now I notice that Wayfair is selling the newly manufactured pieces. They don't say where it's made. I would hesitate buying it, as it's still expensive. I would just purchase Demeyere. Find them better than All-Clad....See MoreAnyone have experience with the new Viking 5 series?
Comments (1)I have the freestanding 30 inch VGR530 all gas. Love it, I've owned since the summer of 2016 and no issues. Good luck in your search! I don't have a Viking dishwasher so I can't speak to that....See MoreViking Tuscany 48" Dual Fuel Range (white)

But, check around, I would guess there are some other appliance stores in NJ that would have the Capital for you to at least look at, bring your favorite baking pans and see if they fit. Hoods can get expensive and the make up air quite complicated. I cannot recall what our stone surround is costing us, but the make up air, plus vent hood insert is in the ballpark of $3k. This cost does not include aesthetics surrounding the hood, which can probably get as pricey as you can imagine. Kaseki, our resident expert hood ventilation systems, correctly points out that between functionality, aesthetics, and affordability, you can maximize any two. My renovation got delayed a couple years due to various reasons so it allowed me to read these forums over that time and learn a lot. Like, who ever heard of make up air before? ;-) Hit the search function and you will find much on the topic of vent hoods....See MoreRelated Professionals
