Took a walk around the (rose) garden
Comments (46)Carol - thanks for the tip on the fertilizing pots - will try fertilizing a bit more often then maybe my pots will look more like yours. Jim - that bed is a real eye-catcher!!!!! I just love putting Marigolds in my beds, unfortunately the snails love them as well!!! Babara - your comment actually made me blush - thanks Wow ziyakr, that curved bed must look amazing when everything is in bloom! I really like the curves - it softens everything and a garden seems to flow more (if you know what I mean). I have a close-up of Westerland on this post - http://forums.gardenweb.com/discussions/3194210/blooms-in-clusters and here http://forums.gardenweb.com/discussions/3153116/blooms-since-june-1-us-to-w Sharlene...See MoreFrench/English Version of the Little Prince
Comments (24)I bought graphic novels in Spanish, which were in paperback format and so were not comic books either, but what I bought in Portuguese did qualify as being comic books. I'm not familiar with Tin Tin. The only book I have in French (beside language books) is a collection of works by Baudelaire, but I like it very much. I wish I were better at conversational French - I am pretty good at reading and writing it, but I have a very difficult time understanding spoken French, and when I do speak it, I have a very bad accent. For me, Russian is a lot easier to pronounce than French, even though I have studied French more than I have Russian. I think I have not developed the correct muscles in my mouth to pronounce French correctly, and this should be done at an early age, I think....See MoreMislabeled rose? Can anyone help to identify this beautiful pink rose?
Comments (8)@tozmo1 Scentuous does look similar. I read somewhere in houzz that someone just bought Scentuous from Lowes recently so it might be! @rosecanadian @MasLovesRoses_z8a GA I agree, they are gorgeous! I actually got another one so now I have 3! The thing is, I want to plant them in the front flowerbed as a rose hedge but since I don't exactly know what this rose is, I won't know its growth habit and how big it can get. Also, I bought 3 Moonlight in Paris rose from Lowes as well last week and the bloom is almost exactly the same as this LPP! Weirdly, this one does not look like MIP either. Could both of them be mislabeled? Now I have 6 of basically the same roses, lol. Here is a picture of MIP (color is a bit washed out but they have the same pink color in real life....See MorePurple rose comparison
Comments (33)Carla, thank you very much. The side by side comparisons are always helpful, and are time consuming to put together. I'm surprised at the size of Koko Loco and Blue Girl. Lavenders don't like the conditions here, but the dark purples do fine. Thank you for the pruning advice on Blue Girl. I hope to find her this year. Lagerfeld is waiting in the garage, if he's still alive. Sylvia, Memorial Day is absolutely gorgeous, and may be a bit more lavender up here in this northern soil. HTs don't love me, or I them - usually, but that is one I would make an exception for, especially since it's a Carruth rose. Diane, I've left a few unpruned, usually because I run out of time, and the only difference is the legginess of the Austins. I actually think they appreciate a break periodically and allowed to just grow naturally. Yours may reach 12', though. My purples are dark like yours, but I wish Wild Blue Yonder would get with the program. I don't think these have been mentioned. Plum Perfect Blue for You. Bluer in person.
