does anyone feel like helping me w/ master bath hardware selects?
Comments (12)i found the mercury glass knobs on amazon. they came six to a package; with shipping it came out to $6 a knob! i actually had my eye on them for my closet, so if i don't use them in the bathroom they'll go there. and breezy, i also thought about the MOP knob but decided against because i thought too matchy as well. -and then i moved on to glass or crystal and decided they would be lost against the dark wood. i think the mercury knobs will work well. we'll see! elle: thank you. the floor tile is some kind of italian porcelain i picked up from best tile. ditto for the shower walls, except it's a crackle tile that doesn't need to be sealed. never saw such an animal, but it's smooth and the crackle finish is much slighter than the usual. i would have carried the marble over from the vanity top but we have well water....See MoreCan you help me identify these items? tile and chandelier
Comments (7)agree with last poster, they are Oceanside, I have them and want to caution you that your installer has to be extremely careful not to have any "trowl" lines behind the tile, there are some areas that show the grooves behind the clear glass. That said I love them. Search oceanside glass tile. Good luck...See Moreplease help me pick kitchen lighting
Comments (18)ladyshadowwalker - your light came out great! It looks like a factory finish. The Possini light I like does come in either chrome (which would match the chandelier ceiling canopy) or brushed nickel (which would look pretty close to the brushed stainless handles and appliances.) I also wonder if I would better off just trying to find a light with almost no metal at all - I will post some in another posting. mydreamhome, I hear what you are saying - thanks for the link to the bathroom forum discussion and for the compliment on the tile and chandelier. I liked Mongoct's bath photo - I can see how the ORB he used up top also reflects the floor color. I am a bit sensitive to different finishes, though, and the brushed nickel pulls with the polished nickel faucet would bother me (it doesn't look bad at all in that bathroom, I just would personally not get used to it so quickly.) But I definitely think that especially as most people will not be thinking about this when they see the kitchen, they'll be just taking it in as a whole, that I am probably the only person who gives a darn. :-) Going to post some options in a minute!...See MoreMaster bedroom help .. Comments (51)I'm not a fan of any of those options...for various reasons. Mostly because the style/scale as well as the tone doesn't look like it would compliment the bed.....although without links hard to know. The Bernhardt nightstands in your pic from Haverty's are 40 W x30 H x21 D. That is why they don't look dwarfed by the bed. Do you have room to do something like the pic Penny posted? Basically a simple open rectangle with a sturdy leg? Another thing I'd consider is taking a look at kids' dressers/desks. Some are even similar in size and shape to the Bernhardt nightstands.... https://www.perigold.com/furniture/pdp/smiling-hill-4-drawer-dresser-sta6494.html?piid=17238112 Another approach would be multi-tiered side tables, not these exact ones obviously, but again something with enough heft and presence to play nicely with that bed....See Moremjammjam
