This may or not be an actual listed painter? Sometimes paintings like this were produced in multiples by several people who worked on different parts of them in sequence. It's really hard to say.

Look at Antonio Ianicelli's work. That may be him.... search alternative spelling Iannicelli, too. eta: I can't read the signature on some of his work but it looks like it's his last name instead of Antonio; however, there is a flourish after the last letter that looks very similar to the Antonio signature.

Bought two of these from Goodwill for 7.99 plus 1.99 handling each. My daughter in law has them in her home. She had one they bought from someone selling paintings on a corner and was looking for another one.

My bet is an unknown street artist, but it is lovely nonetheless. My mom has several 'street artists' paintings from all over the word. She was an artist until amd took her eightsight and collected some lovely pieces. Ironically even though her vision is gone, she is decorating her new senior living department and it is going to be fantastic because her memories of her pieces is so ingrained.

The facts are it's an actual oil painting of someone or someone(s) perspective of a seascape of an imaginary place. Very similar to any other making it , what it is, a signed original oil painting.

Antonio lanicelli is an Italian painter born in 1952, has won prizes, his favorite subjct is southern coast of Spain. i found a large Antonio painting on Facebook Marketplace, and drove an hour to buy it from a realtor in Tennessee for $50. It is a Christmas gift for my DIL who likes original oils. The realtor had bought it at a painting party ~20 years earlier and it had a price tag still on the back, $129. i was happy to get it and then started looking up the painter, who signs all his oils with his first name.

This appears to be a famous modern Italian painter, Antonio DiViccaro. He began painting at age 11, exhibiting in Italy and then the US. His original palette knife oil paintings appraise for thousands. I just saw one of his paintings (72” wide) appraise for $16,000. If yours is truly an original, you got a deal! Beware when you research his canvas paintings online because I have seen some fakes claiming to be signed originals selling anywhere from $17 (actually a canvas print) to $3,000. Get yours appraised.

It is not Antonio Iannicelli- His paintings are gorgeous. A major difference is he uses a brush so the paint doesn’t pop off the canvas the same as it does with palette knife painting. Does your canvas have raised oil paint strokes or does it look like a canvas print? If it is smoother like a print on canvas, or has smooth brush strokes, it is a replica. I can’t tell from the photos.
