It is a huge wall, but you can make it striking. Paint all brick and stone black. Remove the furniture and replace with consoles… you can choose to add art work of consoles and a mirror over fireplace, or two mirrors and art over fireplace.

I would suggest nothing on the mantel...

Conversely, you do the same as above, but paint everything a white…something similar to your carpet (or if you have white woodwork do that white).
