I have this Medinilla magnifica that I received a few months ago and it had grown new leaves since I've had it, but this one looks different that the new leaves I've gotten before. This one is more colorful with the pretty pinkish color. I've never had one bloom for me so I'm not sure exactly what it is plus its still very hot here in FL and I thought these bloomed in the Spring...anyways if anyone knows about this plant that might be able to help...Thanks!! I'm sure its just wishful thinking Lol...

Below is what a regular set of leaves that I normally get (for comparison)...

That looks like a bloom to me. I'm not super familiar with these plants but a friend of mine has one and she agrees about the bloom.

Thanks Cassandra, I think it "might" actually be a bloom? It's very slow to grow, I took this yesterday and it appears to have some berries inside the bracts...Fingers crossed!

Yes, the buds should be inside those colorful bracts.

That is the first bloom I have seen on one of these. I will be watching for one of those. Thanks a bunch for the pics.
