Bathroom Vanity 60" in space 63"....HELP

I'm planning to gut my master bath and start over. The vanity is in an alcove off the master bedroom. The width is 63". I want to purchase a ready made vanity set....and the ones i like are all 60", maybe 61" including marble countertop. They come with a backsplash. But there will be a 1"+ gap on each side, to the wall. I can procure a custom side splash to fill the gap on the sides of the countertop, but will have a hard time matching wood to use as a filler on front. You can see on the photo of the current situation where the builder did the exact thing I will need to do, (he also used a stock 60" vanity) but i won't be able to match the wood of the new vanity. Would it be ok to just leave the gap, as long as I install sidesplashes to protect walls and floor from water?

Or do you have any other suggestions?
