Sweetgum, Liquidambar styraciflua I believe.

In the second picture the one on the left looks like A. heterophylla and the one on the right looks like A. columnaris. After there is enough development of the specimen A. heterophylla stands out for having a pointed appearance (it has been called star pine in California) with often long branches, frequently of uneven length and with an aspect like paddles or oars, with flattish sprays looking as though being thrust outward, with long sections of bare branch behind. A. columnaris eventually produces a Leaning Tower of Pisa facsimile, with short branches of even length (hence "columnaris", presumably) and a trunk that goes to one side. The foliage sprays tend to be a little more lush and bushy looking also, not as flattened. The two species are too similar to tell apart young examples with easy certainty, unless there is some fine detail specialists are aware of. It has been suggested that tabletop Christmas trees and other small potted specimens purchased as "Norfolk Island Pine" are often instead A. columnaris. In Hawaii this species if by far the more prevalent one of the two in outdoor plantings.

Otherwise known as Box Elder - considered a junk tree around here by many people. They seed all over and are not the strongest of trees. Box Elder bugs seem to like them also. BTW, those are compound leaves, which is unique for a maple.

I meant thin as not thick like a magnolia trees leaves. Not thin like tiny,like on a thorny cassia or an acacia tree,or a poinciana tree. Eric 9B the flowers in that last picture looks the same, BUT, those leaves are VERY VERY tiny next to my leaves. I meant my leaves are not thick,like on an orange tree, or a magnolia. They are paper thin and they are the Splendida tree. Those leaves in your last pictures are what I expect on an Acacia tree with comes with thorns all over it. THAT is my next tree! I need to find that tree....anyone got seeds and care to share?? I have many neighbors I would love to keep from touching MY gardens flowers! Have them reach through an acacia tree/shrub to get some flowers, and get a nice sharp surprise!! People are helping themselves to my Golden Chalice flowers every night! I go to bed with 12 flowers open,and wake up with 1 left! And they didnt ripen and fall off!! My 3 trees are the Splendidas. No new scales so far,and the leaves are holding on. So...they go in the ground in about a month or less. Got to be sure the bugs are gone first.
