Benjamin Moore Grey colors to complement navy blue front door

I would love to get recommendations for neutral or warm grey BM paint colors that would look nice with our navy blue front door.

Chelsea Gray HC-168

Cinder AF705

Geddy Gray CW-720

Our house is usually in full sun, it has a large overhang on the front door side as well as the back patio which makes that siding appear darker. We are planning to paint all of the window trim white as well as the fascia boards, and overhangs.

The grey color would go on the actual siding only. We are currently looking at BM Chelsea Gray, Geddy Gray or Cinder. We thought about Amherst Gray (HC-167) and Kendall Charcoal (HC-166) but they both seem like they might be too dark. We don't want a light grey because it might look too washed out and would blend in too much with the cement driveway.

Any recommendations? We are thinking a warm medium grey would complement the navy blue door and at the same time would complement the white windows and trim.

I would look to Sherwin Williams for the perfect in-between gray. I love Ben Moore but they're lacking a full range of grays. GL :)

Sorry, I know this is old but we are trying to pick our exterior colors and considering Dorian with a blue door. The finished pic you posted is completely different than the color in the posted visualizer pic correct? I love they way yours turned out but I don't like the color that it looks like in the one visualizer comments.

Yes BM does but no blues there. I think the blue marylee suggested would be a good choice IMO quite a staement color scheme so important to not go too crazy . I would not want to work in an office with that much warmth so maybe a bit info as to why that choice.

@jinx thank you! The first image you posted is where I got the inspiration for the Whitestone porch and Normandy siding. Just was hoping to go with a yellow for the door instead of the Rust but unsure if it actually goes well. So hard to tell from the little squares on the house!

here are some other combos for you. I also photoshopped a few to show you diff garage door options. you may want to get some carriage hardware, or some pop in windows for the door. see how these are? here's one mock up w/black doors and a few other soft sage colors, paired w/the whites. also put in new lights and a number placque Here's your Desert Twilight w/other coordinating colors. Any of these will work w/your brick I like this Antique copper color too. think about doing accents w/copper. like the lights, or address numbers. some other colors w/white doors and carriage hardware I like these top 4 w/your brick you can use any of these for accent colors, door color. bring in pots and plants w/these shades have you thought about going dark w/the siding?

Would also like recommendations for white trim colors to match Anderson 100 windows. Decorators white looked like a close match but will that be too bright?

Chelsea Gray and Decorator's White - I'd test those two first and I'd be lookin' to make sure there's enough contrast between the front door and Chelsea.

Thank you Lori. What about a lighter gray like Pewter or coventry gray or stonington gray? Those might blend in too much with cement color? What do you think of Chantilly Lace instead of Decorators White? More of a true white? I will need to test it out next to the window frames.

The one that matches the windows the best. Uninterrupted flow in terms of color (white) between the window frame and the trim is going to look really nice because it's going to bump up the perceived proportion of the windows.

What about a lighter gray like Pewter or coventry gray or stonington gray? Those might blend in too much with cement color?

Pewter 2121-30 belongs to the PB hue family (purple-blue). Lovely color as long you know what you're getting in terms of PB. Coventry could look blue in certain light.

If I were to invest in samples out of the choices listed, I'd buy Chelsea, Stonington and Amherst. It's a nice group to compare.

Great job of narrowing down the colors! Chelsea Gray HC-168 is a great neutral gray that’s popular for exteriors. Cinder AF-705 takes on a purplish hue in comparison to Chelsea Gray however can work with your navy door. Geddy Gray CW-720 is very similar to Chelsea Gray which also makes it a great, and a safe choice. Be sure to view it next to your door to ensure there’s enough contrast between the gray and the blue.
