I don’t want to trash Marvin, but I had a LOT of trouble with my new windows. Marvin did replace the sliders, but it was a messy job. Then one replaced slider had the same problem. You know that suction cup which is used to lift glass? Well, on all sliders those cups rings were not removed before the glass was installed…the cup marks were between the glass. Not just one or two, but several.

This time we went with the Anderson 400 series and are very pleased with the results.

Judy..were yours Marvin Integrity or Ultimate? You didn't happen to get a pic of the suction cup thing did you?

We are using Marvin Ultimate casements and sliders in this build but we only have a few windows installed so far. So far, we love them.

we had Andersen 400 double hungs in our last build. 12 yrs of use and they were flawless. Great windows.

We don't care for the Integrity windows. They are the lowest line of Marvin and don't have the same features and look of the regular Marvin line. They have no exterior profile and look like trailer windows once installed. The regular Marvin line is nice quality.

We use Pella and have had no problems. We are slowly replacing the windows in our own home with Pella. Some of them have been in for 4-5 years now and no problems with them. What I don't like about Pella is that the glass has more green tint to it than some other companies.

We don't generally use Anderson so we have no experience with them. We have had to use them a time or two to match up with existing windows. Our real issue is with the companies here that sell them and the fact that they are hard to work with.

Little more blunt then I would have said it but agree 100%. Personally 400 series TW & Integrity are close but I would give the nod to the Integrity.

Anderson. Following significant reseach, investigation and in-person reviews of top brands selling quality non-vinyl casement windows and large sliding doors, we went with Anderson A series for several reasons: Custom impregnated colors on non-wood exterior with wood interior and very strong local dealership, easy to work with and offering two full years parts/labor warranty before Anderson's own parts only warranty kicks in, plus I negotiated an amazing deal as usual, lots of windows; worth every penny (I hope). Delivery 10/12 or thereabouts.
