Help me choose the right sectional
Comments (9)I too like the idea of the brown floors and couch, with a light rug to break it off. However I'm concerned that this particular model won't look nearly as good on brown as on the lighter colors. I'll attach a photo of a similar model so you can see what I mean. I don't think it's the color itself, but the styling that makes it look a bit weird to my eyes. Is it just me, or does something about it seem... off? Oh, and two more questions: the size is 310x260 cm (122x102 inches) do you think that's too big for the space? And last, price wise we're talking around the $5k mark, do you think that's too much? Like I said before it does seem a bit steep to me, but I have no experience shopping for couches really :) However it is one of the more expensive ones from the one I've looked at, but seemed to be on par with other italian brands on leather... As far as comfort goes, what I really like about this couch is that it has a system where the back support goes all the way to the back, and transforms the regular sitting area into a mini-chaise long, so to say. It's very comfy, for sure. The couch does come in fabric as well (which is about a grand cheaper), but it seems to me the design kinda calls for leather? see below: This post was edited by the13th on Sat, Aug 2, 14 at 5:18...See MoreHelp me with color of accent pillows for the sectional
Comments (35)I sometimes like pillow shopping as much as I like shopping for jeans. :) I understand what you mean about sometimes posting and then not really getting any feedback. It can be a little discouraging at times. I usually end up feeling very,"Hello? Help! Anyone??" I think having blue in the pillows is a good idea and will help tie in the art (which I really like) I'll wait to see, but I think I'll really like the floral ones because they'll add some lightness and it ties in the blue. I agree to seeing the overload of pillows everywhere. I do think it sometimes looks nice, but I can't deal with that many IRL and once you actually add a few people to the room.... They're also not all going to fit in that 'basket' everyone speaks of unless you smoosh the heck out of them! A tower of pillows on the basket maybe....See MoreBlack or White Sectional??
Comments (13)ok..then dark..:) can you get it though in slightly different shade rather then charcoal? or they have only these two options(that brand)? still gray but more warm. more taupe. like, if you take your kitchen color, and darken it? will play better with whatever colors you've got already. your grays are warm grays. you have beautiful warm wood. and blacks. and whites. very noble space I'd repeat what you ve got, since you're leaning towards subdued pallette(at least from what I can judge) again, if I see them correctly but if no option like that-of course you can make charcoal work too especially as we don't see the fabric itself, maybe it's much more perfect for the space than i imagine...See MoreDecorating a Gray Sectional & Living Room
Comments (9)That rug is too small so I'm glad you're getting a new one. Adding warmth isn't all about color. Adding natural elements like wood, plants, and wicker will all add warmth. I know you're hesitant about adding gold in, but mixing metals is not only doable, it's also on trend right now. Just pick a dominant metal, which is chrome in your case it seems, and then accent with warmer metals like copper and gold....See MoreJudyG Designs
