More September rebloom

Like Kay, I have had continuous blooming through regular season and then this long rebloom season since the middle of April. And some have been the most random of rebloomers as in never before! And, like Kay, I still have scapes appearing throughout the garden. These are not wimpy either but thick, multi-branched, many-budded scapes. And ironically, many of the blooms look so much bigger and better than the first ones. Here are a few of mine.

Moonlit Masquerade-without the usual edge

Gwendolyn Rose has been gorgeous. Huge. Clear color. Slightly ruffled.

Silky Twilight. Has a faint pink blush and perfect bloom. Scape is tall. I had to avoid a fire ant bed and take this from above (and beyond!)

Nicole's Heat Seeker.

Spacecoast Bold Scheme-last week. Today I saw yet another scape up on this one.

Others were Siloam Double Classic, Siloam Sleigh Ride, Envious, Lake Champaign, and Memphis. The weather is really really hot here so these are opening well. It has been dry for a couple of weeks so maybe that will slow some of this rebloom!

What a long season you and Kay have had! I do like Nicole's Heat Seeker and Gwendolyn Rose.

Beautiful reblooms! Gwendolyn Rose and Spacecoast Bold Schemes are my favorites.

Edward- I didn't do as many actuall budcounts as I did last year but did make note of any that were usual. As in unusually good or unusually bad. Andrea- I hate spiders. I know lots of people like them but they are not for me. FLAMBOYANT PROMISE is in no way a spider. I really don't know what the registration criteria for UFOs are but I call ones that look like this UFOs and I love it. The bloom is big and very attention getting on a fairly tall scape. Its a late bloomer and the rebloom scape was a nice bonus.

Lovely photos. How is the bud count and branching on Fighting Fire in Tennessee? The first photo reminds of of Karol Emmerich's Thistles and Thorns which also has good rebloom. It puts very good teeth on its children. There are a few things with late rebloom scapes here in Virginia. I registered one this year called Midsummer A Woman's Work. It's only a small orange, but a clump blooms non-stop from early to mid June until frost. Normally, it bud builds and there is rebloom but this has been a very bad year here for branching so I'm only getting rebloom.

Signet - The AHS registration committee changed the rules recently. I think it was last year. Just using a prefix in front of an existing daylily name is no longer allowed. Dick was on the committee that voted in the changes, and he said they did it to avoid confusion. Debra

Great rebloom, Kate! I really like a Gwendolyn Rose. I have Moonlit Masquerade, I've never had rebloom, but do have extended bloom here.

Kay and I may take the trophy for longest bloom/rebloom on record!!! There are so many scapes putting up in random spots in the garden. Karen, I wish I could capture Gwendolyn Rose. And believe me, I have ten photos to show the effort! Just picture this being 6-7 inches. Brad, I suppose I had ideal weather this year! So much rain for so long into the summer-cooler summer temps with only a few 100 degree days. Sherry, although others have mentioned rebloom on MM, this is the first year it has done that for me and this is the third rebloom for it. It took a month off between each set of reblooms. Thanks all for the comments. I never expected to be posting bloom photos this late!
