What color sink with black concrete, white cabinets, gold faucet?

I have black concrete countertops and white cabinets, and we are doing antique gold cabinet pulls and lighting. So, what color sink should I use? The appliances will be black stainless so I don't want to go regular stainless for the sink. We were planning on doing antique gold for the faucet. ALSO - the sink has to be a top - mount. Black composite? Will that be cheesy with the gold?

I am thinking a black sink would look nice, though stainless would be good too. I would probably not go with a white sink.

unfortunately it's all in process so no photos. But, think of something kind of like this pic... I can't tell if that cabinet hardware is antique gold but pretend it is. And we can't have a farmhouse sink bc it has to be top mounted. thanks!

I have the Subway Ceramics Avalon / Minas with a medium gray grout. And a Shaw's white sink, if anyone is considering that, by the way. (My contractor could have ordered it directly, but at his request, I went through a tile store, and by the time everyone had put their sugar onto it, it was OBSCENELY expensive.) I'm not an installation expert, but at least with the Subway Ceramics, the installers use little plastic spacers between the tiles (I think some others have their own spacers?) when they put them up, they don't do it freehand, so how much grout you get is a function of 1) the limits set by the curvature of the tile and 2) what size spacers they use. So you might be willing to go a little darker with a smaller grout line, or with a handmade tile that refuses to go close together, you might want to stay light. The traditional color is close to concrete. But most modern people don't seem to like that, so do what pleases you!

I have never heard of the finish on brass knobs or pulls wearing off. I have brass throughout my house and they've all been fine. To answer your question, you can absolutely mix finishes throughout your house. Your thought to mix in brass with black will work well. I prefer to match my kitchen cabinet hardware to the sink faucet, but that's just MY preference. Love your Fantasy Brown, the slab is beautiful! When we first started designing our kitchen, we were eyeing that up, but ultimately decided on something else. Your kitchen will be gorgeous!

I have matte black faucets. surprisingly, they don't show any 'grossness'. water marks barely show (chrome or nickel shows much more) super easy to wipe clean too. i'll also add, "not wanting my guests to share a bath w/teenage boys", well hell patricia. not everyone has the luxury of 3-4 bathrooms in their house. maybe she should banish her kids to a backyard outhouse? I also would mention teaching the boys how to squeegee the walls and door after each shower that cuts your cleaning time in 1/2 I love this one. good luck w/the boys and the squeegee. lol. it's a constant battle. doesn't matter what tile you get, the size, the color of the faucet. with teen boys, it's going to be a mess, regardless. teach them the cleaning basics and hope they listen.

Why does it have to be top mounted? I know someone with concrete countertops and she has had an undermount sink for years.

It's not due to the concrete...we are doing some partial reno but not full, and the current sink is top mounted

I don't see why you can't do a white sink too since you're cabinets are white. I'm not sure why it's top mounted though....

I'd vote for a white sink. The problem with black is that you can't see the grunge when it gets grungy. The white is classic, will go with your gold faucet and will complement your white cabinets.

Kohler Riverby is a top mount cast iron enamel sink. Not composite.

Black would be a statement, that may or may not stand up to the test of time. Stainless is timeless/go to/ALWAYS correct in a kitchen. White would be less daring but also acceptable to most.
