How would you dress these big windows?
Comments (18)Ideally the rod should end at the same point to either side of the window. Since one end of the window ends at the wall, it would look odd to have the outer sides extend beyond the end so that the drapes would stack behind the windows and not obstruct the view. I'd consider using a corner bracket at the corner instead of two rods with finials for that reason or as jboling suggests just two shorter rods at the outer corners. My first choice, though, would be some simple woven wood shades which would go beautifully with the lake view/trees....See MoreHow do you dress a 30' expanse of windows?
Comments (5)For budget reasons we plan on making ours out of piping material so we can make them super long. We have a wall of windows and I want to have sheers and curtains on either end of the room. I would like to be able to use the sheers but will likely never use the curtains. Unless, it is so bright and I want to sit down to watch a good movie and need some coziness....See MoreBay window dressing ideas. Large middle window.
Comments (9)Hey There: Right now your window treatment doesn't show very much of your bay window...so we suggest you go with minimalistic pleated blinds - inside mount installation to each window. This way you show of the frame and molding of the windows. Furthermore, you will have the unique bottom up top down operation that provide privacy and light management. Comments (7)Dear Danielle: Bottom-up Top-down shades will perfectly work for these windows. The install inside mount, are minimalistic in design and combine form and function. You can keep the bottom of the shades closed while enjoying natural light from the top. Please visit us at www.fenstermann.com or give us a call at 619.665.9446....See MoreElena Donnellan
