marti8 and sheetalN, we do love waking up in there. I need a 9x12 rug to ground the space, but it's so much more serene with the lighter color and softer headboard. Makes such a difference! Before the room was a bit too masculine for me. BlackChamois, here's the link for the tutorial. As far as tutorials go, it was just ok. She left out the hardest part which was getting the fabric around the curves. We figured it out eventually, but it took some tries to get the fabric straight so it wouldn't bunch. nosoccermom, the paint color is BM Nimbus. I think it's either at 75% or 80% -- i'll have to check the can. I love the color - it's a true gray with no undertones. I've repainted both of my bathrooms with it. I think anything over 31 inches is too high for the bedroom lamp. I think 29-30 inches is just right, but it could be a little chunkier like the ones in the furniture ad. What you have on the end tables are pretty but they disappear because they are too skinny and you see thru the glass. I love the 30" lamp and like the 32" inch but the 32 might be too tall...not sure. I keep looking back at the sofa....unless there is more space we do not see, I think its just not the right size for the room, regardless of the fabric. If you do not have another place for it, I would see if you can exchange it. I would rather see a triple dresser or armoir on that wall:) with a smaller club style chair and ottoman or chaise in the corner. Someone mentioned turning it around and putting up a flat screen....I dont think its possible, it would be like sitting in the first row of a movie theater...you only have a foot or so of space between it and the bed. The bench is another alternative but not something you are going to hang out on. If you add the matching triple dresser you wouldnt have room for a bench. You are heading in the right direction...the bed set, curtains and wall color look awesome.

I'm going back and forth on adding in some small streaks of the green and bits of silver. Here's what I'm thinking as of now: 1) Base coat - Color match to the beige/light gray in the pillow that comes with set (see picture of forest green comforter I added above.) 2) Add a FEW streaks ("strie"- the vertical lines), of the green and light gray (or whatever the "beige/light gray" pillow color is). I would add maybe 1 streak of each every 7 - 8 inches. I probably wouldn't even be using a teaspoon of each color for the entire wall. I doubt it would even show in the pictures, but when one is in the room, they would see a very subtle lines of the green and light gray. And if I even change the comforter, I could just paint over the green and light gray streaks. 3) Add the metallic paint (something light and "pearly") as the final coat on the headboard wall. 4) Paint the rest of the walls in the base coat (the beige/ light gray color matched from the pillow.) I really like the "drama" of the forest green comforter against the light walls. I also love that large gold metallic vase in @Molly 's picture. Thinking of doing something like that in a pewter. Now just have to find a massive vase that doesn't cost $300+ dollars.

Beautiful makeover...but there is one thing I would change. I would expand the draped area behind the bed to be wider than the headboard. That might mean a new rod, but definitely additional drapes to keep the luxurious feeling you have now.
