Need Backsplash Advice!
Comments (36)I ended up deciding to go with the scrollwork. The curves in the scrollwork complimented the curves of the pendants. There will be 3 pendants. And I just thought it was lovely how that tied together. It was such a dilemma because the orangey red in the poppies, really did tie in the ceiling color very nicely also. I also felt like it was less likely that I'd get tired of the scrollwork as the years went by, since it is more of a pattern and not a picture. Anyway, decision made! Thank you so much for all of your opinions and ideas. We thought about trying to tie in some of that orangey red for the ceiling, but we agreed it wouldn't look good. So it will be done in the greys and black. The only part that is kind of up in the air is the border around it. I am going to mock up some border choices to get some opinions on that. rngal, I will post a photo of how the granite and cabinets are on the edge of the wall....See MoreHey guys and gals need backsplash advice.
Comments (25)This is a decorator/design forum not an investing forum. As an investor wanting to sell the house quickly at a good price I'd say you've already put a lot of money into the kitchen with new appliances and cabinets so take the last step to finish the kitchen so that it helps potential buyers get over the hurdle from liking the house to putting in an offer. You want the house to appeal to many buyers. If they see something unfinished they may wonder where else you cut corners on the flip. Someone will always have a different personal opinion about design. A classic subway in a cloud white (not cream) would be fine and I'd guess you could find something like that at box stores for $1-2 per square foot. It would be best to put it up all the way to the base of the upper cabinets but even if you just ran it to bottom of the window sill it would finish the kitchen off and make the kitchen a showcase of the house....See MoreGranite behind range??? Comments (26)Yeah --I was afraid lol but calmer now. Glad you told me that, I really was thinking someone else has access... I don't take things like that lightly, very serious when you consider this is a website where you can buy things.... You would still have to enter your purchasing info. Credit card and so on....really nothing to get that upset over when messages on a forum disappear....See MoreNeed backsplash advice!!!
Comments (9)Just a non-pro here. Recently I helped my Dad find a backsplash and I came across a collection I really liked: Crossvillle Market Collection Ashbury. For several weeks I was all over the city trying to help my Dad, and when I saw this collection I was really impressed with the wide range of colors, shapes and textures. This collection has several good greiges ranging from a bit cool to a bit warm. Some of them are offered in crackle finish. We ended up choosing Fleece Crackle, but his colors are a bit warmer than yours. If you have a Crossville near you it might be worth a trip to look at samples....See MoreRelated Professionals
