Deocrative tape blinds- View from outside
Comments (11)Sorry so late in checking in, folks. I really appreciate everyone's input. The good news is that after we opened up all the boxes, I noticed the tapes on the back of all the blinds are beige, even on the patterned tapes. So, they may not be white, but they will all be the same. Patricia is right about TND neighborhoods. Our front porch is maybe 4 ft from the sidewalk. It's not about adhering to strict guidelines as much as trying to keep the charm of the neighborhood. I don't know if we can get the tapes changed. It took 8 weeks to get them in the first place, so the idea of another 2 months living in the fishbowl is almost too much to bear. I know I can't remove them. they're sewn on securely. I'll have DH hold up the blinds to see how visible it really is from the street. I can say that standing back 12 ft, it is very dramatic color difference. Also, I'll call the vendors Mon and see what, if anything, can be done. I'm kicking myself for not asking before we ordered, but I never even thought about it. It seems like we waited so long, just to not get what we expected. I'm so frustrated....See Moreshutters vs wood blinds to keep the light and view outside
Comments (34)They are only three months old so look new. Absolutely no problems and the quality is very good. They operate very smoothly. I did custom order through Penney's. I first did my internet research and had several quotes online. The sales rep was able to beat all my quotes. It was nice to able to see the various blinds in person, then I brought home the sample books to match color. That proved difficult with the tiny samples but I wanted neutral and am happy with the results. You have the choice of separate head rails like I did, or a single head rail. They are easy to clean though I have not needed to yet. I haven't decided if I will put my drapes back up as I'm enjoying the clean look right now. Mine are 3/8" double cell, 40"x72". Each blind was $268 +tax. The top-down/bottom-up function does increase the price but I feel it was worth it for my application. Comments (57)I have a low profile bed too which is faux leather upholstered. And every 2 weeks I lifted the mattress and juggled to clean the dust bunnies with my vacuum cleaner. I searched for products I could use to fix this problem. A few months ago I came across this wonderful product. And now it's dust free under by bed for the last few months. Here is a link https://munirazk51.wixsite.com/thisnthat/post/no-more-dust-bunnies It is very easy to install and not expensive. It gets the job done. It has a lot of other useful applications. I have used it on front door, room doors, closet doors, under sofa. I see so much difference in the dust in my house. I hope it helps....See MorePlease need ideas for window, threatment .I have to keep blinds
