The "layout that makes sense" is one you develop WITH the designer, not a cabinet seller. It is in consideration of all that is on your wish list, and also what is possible within the space. Possible is partly a budget function, load bearing wall function and other things as well. What makes the most sense, is to EXPLORE those possibilities with a pro, ON your site....See MoreNeed advice with new living room layout and old furniture
Comments (13)@housegal200 - I agree! I love everything about how this house was staged and would have been totally happy buying all their furniture. I wanted to hire a designer/decorator for at least the living room but I couldn't get my husband on-board with that idea and now I'm terrified about how bad this room might potentially look. Unfortunately getting a smaller TV in here is not an option - he is dead set on keeping this TV and making this the family room. There is another room in between the dining room and kitchen that is being used as a formal sitting room but it's not as nice as this room....See MoreNeed help with master bedroom furniture and layout for new lake house

Something like this with some extra drawers would work. https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Grain-Wood-Furniture-Greenport-2-Door-Armoire/25739333/product.html?option=43173892 Then use bachelor chests or 3 drawer nightstands for more drawer storage. https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/rosalind-wheeler-lusia-3-drawer-nightstand-w001460587.html If there's room, perhaps you could add a bench under the window. Just simple white sheers on the window since you don't seem to need privacy. The floors are beautiful and it's a lovely room. A modern antique brass bed like this would make a wonderful juxtaposition in a traditional room! https://www.burkedecor.com/products/westwood-bed-in-antique-brass?...See MoreI need to get all new furniture for our TV room but layout?
Comments (6)IMO seactionals are the most expensive way to buy the least number of comfy seating. Comfortable comes from arm rests and no matter how huge the sectional usually only 2 arm rests so all the rest of the people get to sit hjust like that horrible middle seat in the sofa . A nice sofa and 2 chairs will give you 4 people who are comfy and one guy in the middle seat in the sofa so pick one. Your other post has a floor plan but it is not to scale so pretty useless do a to scale floor plan on graph paper to make it easier . Take out all the furniture you have in there now and then only put back what you NEED in the space so for instance the cabinet below the windo serves no purpose other than to have eye clutter ....See MoreSteph
