Unknown Wildflower

I had a bare spot in one of my flowerbeds here in SE Michigan this spring so I stopped by Home Depot and bought a small bag of mixed wildflower seed/mulch. Planted the first week in June. Among the normal-looking wildflowers that came up, there are these 4 monsters that took over the entire flowerbed. These giants grew to about 75% of full height in a little over a month and have been blooming since late July. Closest thing I've identified is Coneflower - problem is, these are 6-7 feet tall, the stalks are about 1" diameter near the ground. Hummingbirds LOVE them! I just have to know what they are - are they perennial? Thanks!

(The orange flower in the middle is what I'm asking about)
