Comments (5)Thanks! It's 1x1 carrar mosaic. I wanted to incorporate a mosaic somewhere but at the same time wanted everything be soothing and not too busy so the shower floor was the perfect spot for it. I'll try to post my completed bathroom thread this afternoon....See Moredoes anyone have white frosted glass subway tile for a backsplash
Comments (3)I don't have CE, but our granite is also a dark stone(Labrador Golden Flake), so you might be able to get an idea from a pic of my kitchen. Our backsplash is a mosaic from Artistic Tiles--a mix of glossy and matte (frosted) glass strips in varying lengths and widths. The tile itself is clear, but is "painted" white on the backs. Because it is not Starfire/Starphire (aka low-iron) glass, it reads slightly blue-green in different lighting, at different times of day. In thses pics it just happens to look pretty white. Comments (6)We have glass tiles in the shower in the basement bathroom, which is used by my 17 year old son. I worried about cleaning that shower, but the tiles seem to be grunge proof. Everytime I go down there to give it a good scrub, I realize it looks way better than the cheap surround that is in the master. The wall tiles look immaculate. He is a slob and can't be cleaning it, although I do put shower cleaner in his shower (the kind you spray after a shower). I do struggle a bit with the grout darkening around the drain on the tile floor. I don't know if that is mold, but I hit it with foaming bleach every week....See MoreGlass subway tile and sanded grout. Anyone have issues with it?
Comments (13)Really do appreciate the advice, but the grout will be white. I've given thought to using a gray, but it just looks too "eh" for me. The contrasting look is why I chose gray tile in the first place. I love it. I don't care for matching the tile color with the grout - at least not for the type of tile that I have. And for the record, it is a very medium-gray. I had samples of darker gray and lighter too, both, when I was deciding on the tile. The medium was just right....See MoreRelated Professionals
