Hello color experts!! In search for neutral BM color!
Comments (15)Charlikin here! The repainting has started! In his non-copious spare time, my super has started repainting the living room. First he spent a LONG time replastering the dining room wall that had all the water damage from the roof - he didn't like the job the other painter did. (Perfectionists - sheesh! ;-)) Anyway, I've now got a lovely coat of Abingdon Putty on most of the living room & dinette. Still have to do the foyer and hallway, and that won't get done till after New Year's, unfortunately. (Why shouldn't this drag on, just like everything else...sigh.) It looks great! Super-neutral - very much like Monroe Bisque but without the orangey-pinky-yellow that I objected too. Very slight green tinge - VERY slight. Nice color. (Thank you, Amy, for the suggestion! ;-)) Can't wait to get the carpet & furniture, curtains, pictures on the walls... i.e. can't wait to have a HOME again!!! charlikin...See MoreAssistance Picking A Warm Neutral Color (Lighter) than Shaker Beige)
Comments (6)Thank you for all the assistance. I was leaning towards muslin (as it looks like linen) Since the FR and kitchen are now opened up to each other - I think one color would be best. The only concern is that the kitchen receives much more light than the back hallway and the family room. I'm wondering if the muslin will cast shadows in the late afternoon hours in the FR....See MoreNeutralize my red and gold decor....how do I decorate around my sofa?
Comments (3)I’m not a designer but I think your instincts are right. If everything else is super light I agree the sofa will look too dark and heavy. I think a light, warm neutral paint would be great, and accents of blue would make that gold sofa sing. I think your existing neutral walls look okay, actually. What if you just tried painting the red accent wall a nice mid tone blue?...See MoreWhat neutral paint colour goes with grey?
Comments (5)I might paint the kitchen, but, it looks fine in the living room, and it also looks like your couch and rugs etc are all chosen to go with the gray. If you repaint, you may have a lot of things, that will no longer look good. A color to go with your kitchen cabinets, is something in the blues, or greens or aqua shades (light colors) Your counters and back splashes, dont really go with the gray walls in the kitchen, however, the blues, greens or aqua shades will go well with everything in your kitchen, except maybe the bar stools....See MoreRelated Professionals
